This documentary is more than just a film—it’s a storytelling journey. Through personal narratives, we aim to shine a light on the resilience and emotional journeys of Black women in today’s complex political landscape. This documentary offers a nuanced exploration of the mental health impacts of recent events and how many Black women are choosing to refocus on themselves and their communities.

The film will feature intimate, one-on-one interviews and group discussions, allowing participants to share their reflections at three significant points:

  • Immediately after the election

  • Following the 2025 presidential inauguration

  • Three months post-inauguration

Through these evolving perspectives, we’ll explore themes of resilience, self-preservation, and the shift away from often overextended advocacy for others. The result will be a compelling narrative on how Black women are redefining their roles in this historic time.
